Life at Home and Travels to Vienna

Hello, hello everyone. Yes, yes, I know it's been an exceptionally long time since my last blog (AGAIN) but I haven't done many exciting things and I do have homework, ya know. Anyway, my roommate and I finally got around to doing some decorating in our dorm room. She's a huge Harry Potter fan so I decided that we would make it into a sort of Gryffindor Commons.

This hangs over my bed (if you're not familiar with Harry Potter Puppet Pals, this is from that)

This hangs over Anna's bed (also Harry Potter Puppet Pals)

The Fat Lady hangs on the outside of our door. In the books, you have to give a password to a portrait of a fat wanna be opera star to enter the Commons.

Then we traveled to Vienna. On the way we stopped at a Monastery in Melk.

This dude talking and the monk were our tour guides.

This is our studly (cough not cough) bus driver

Apparently this is a famous picture

Mirror pic!

And then one of the girls on the trip felt ill so I actually didn't get to see anymore of the monastery as I accompanied her outside for fresh air. There we found a kitty.

Lookit me. I look so cute and wonderful but I actually scratched Kim and drew blood because I'm a cat and I do what I want.

These were castle ruins we hiked up to in Dürenstein or something like that.

The Danube River or Donau for all those in the know

I told my friend Ethan to go in the tiny hole. So he did.

We were so high up it looked like a miniature train set.

I put them in jail.

Because this ad makes chocolate SO appealing...

Very nice bar doggie.

Finally, off to VIENNA!

This is the Hundertwasser socialized living whatsits. It has really cool architecture.

This plaque was by the Hundertwasser. It says that a Jewish synagogue was destroyed here in 1421 and the stones were used to build the Theological Uni building...waste not want not? ugh.

This hotdog is putting ketchup on itself. Odd.

Horsies!

This baby had the cutest little hat and chubby face.

Madonna cone boobs?

Jewish WWII memorial

Stefansdom

Cool Cellar restaurant

Illegal pictures at the opera Salome. My bad.

No flash on camera plus unsteady hand equals ghosts.

BRING ME THE HEAD OF JOHN THE BAPTIST!

We had to walk up many many stairs in our hotel. Great calf and quad exercise.

The gates to Schloss Belvedere, now an art museum

Sphynx at Schloss Schönbrunn

BIIIIIIIIIIG garden.

The giant gate thing in back commemorates all the great stuff Empress Maria Theresia did. Kings and queens are quite egotistical, me-thinks. But the inside of the castle (where I could not take pictures) was pretty cool. SUPER extravagent. Ah, to be royalty.

AND NOW I'M BACK IN SALZBURG! home, sweet home.
